Hi, I'm Carly.

I'm Carly - and I eat, sleep and breathe birth. I came to this work over ten years ago after the birth of my second child. It made me realise how much hinges on feeling informed, supported and heard in that room. And how rarely people actually do.

I'm a mum of three. I've had a baby on a labour ward, in a birth centre, and at home. I've lived the full spectrum - and that experience sits at the heart of everything I teach and every birth I support.

Over the past decade I've trained as a doula, antenatal educator, hypnobirthing instructor, pregnancy yoga teacher, and birth biomechanics practitioner. I've supported hundreds of births across every setting, every kind of plan, and every kind of unplan.

I bring all of that into the room with me - but what I bring most is a fierce commitment to your rights. "You're not allowed" and "we don't let you" are things I hear far too often. They're also things I spend a lot of my working life helping families understand and navigate with confidence.

The maternity landscape is complex and sometimes overwhelming - my job is to make sure you understand your options, know your rights, and never feel like decisions are being made without you.

I don't believe birth has a right or wrong shape. I believe it should feel like yours. Whether that means a free birth at home or a planned caesarean, I'm here to make it as informed, supported and positive as it can possibly be.

That's why I created The Doula Club and Ready Birth Go. Because the right support and the right preparation shouldn't be hard to find. Every family deserves a doula who truly gets them - and every pregnant person deserves to walk into birth properly prepared. That's what I'm here for.

I've supported 100's of births across every setting - hospital, birth centre, and home. Water births, caesareans, home births, VBACs, inductions, twins, when babies have arrived before the midwives, and everything in between. All of it goes into the way I work, the doulas and clients I match, and the course I've built.

    Working with me directly

I still work as a birth doula with a small number of families each year. If you'd like to explore having me as your doula, I'd love to hear from you - but spaces are limited.

If I'm fully booked, I'll match you with someone from my network who I trust completely.

    Why The Doula Club exists

The evidence is clear: doula support and continuity of care transforms birth experiences. But after supporting hundreds of births, I know it goes further than that. When the connection is right - when there's real chemistry between you, your partner, and your doula - something else happens entirely.

Birth is the most intimate thing you and your partner will share with someone who isn't each other. It has to be the right person.

That's why matching matters. And that's why I built The Doula Club.
